Mayfield Jewish Cemetery

Anshe Chesed Fairmount Temple partners with The Temple-Tifereth Israel in operating the Mayfield Cemetery, 2749 Mayfield Road in Cleveland Heights, offering burial and clergy officiation to our temple members as a unique privilege of temple membership. Established in 1890, it is one of the largest Jewish cemeteries in Cuyahoga County and the only Jewish garden cemetery

We together bring kavod (“respect/honor”) to the memory and remains of our deceased, at a time when families are in need, and often through pre-planning that members of our synagogues arrange so as to ease the burden of surviving relatives and loved ones.

Over Memorial Day weekend, our member gather to place flags on the graves of veterans buried at Mayfield Cemetery.  During Rosh Hashanah, we come together at Mayfield Cemetery with our clergy to honor and remember our loved ones and visit their graves.

If you would like to learn more about membership or learn more about the benefits of pre-arranging to utilize the beautiful garden-style Mayfield Cemetery or mausoleum, contact our Executive Director at 216-464-1330, or contact Jeffrey Morris at Mayfield Cemetery 216-464-8858.
