Unification Updates

EXPLORING A VISION FOR A SHARED FUTURE

We are excited to share updates with our members about the ongoing discussions of a possible unification between our Anshe Chesed Fairmount Temple and The Temple-Tifereth Israel. These updates were shared through various avenues, including town hall gatherings, Zoom conversations, e-mails to our congregation, and our newsletter.

Voting Update:
On Tuesday, Feb. 13, the Boards of both Anshe Chesed Fairmount Temple and The Temple-Tifereth Israel voted to approve a merger agreement which would create a new, unified Reform Jewish congregation from the two existing congregations. With both Boards approving, members of both congregations have the opportunity to vote on the merger.

On Wednesday, Feb. 14, both temples sent voting packets to members in good standing via mail and by email. Ballots, which are enclosed in the packet, must be returned by March 5 at 5 pm as detailed in the packet, or members in good standing can vote in person on March 6 at 7 pm at Fairmount Temple.

Communications shared about possible unification with The Temple-Tifereth Israel:
