A Trip to the Museum of American Porcelain Art
This museum, considered to be the first of its kind, just opened this year. The Museum preserves and promotes the American porcelain art form from the mid-to-late 20th century. It’s located in the former Telling Mansion in South Euclid (4645 Mayfield Road), within a 26-room mansion that is now on the National Register of Historic Places and is also designated an Ohio Landmark. There is no entrance fee but donations are welcome and tax-deductible.
Food is not available at the Museum, so we’ll be meeting for lunch at a nearby restaurant at 11:45 a.m., then go on to the Museum. For those who do not want to meet for lunch, we’ll meet at the Museum at 1 pm. There will be a brief introduction and video before we tour the Museum. RSVPs are encouraged so the museum staff will know how many chairs to set up for the video. Please RSVP no later than Thursday, Oct. 24 to Phyllis Berlas (email@example.com or 216-381-8738) or Janice Hirshon (firstname.lastname@example.org or 508-667-0195). For those joining us for lunch, we’ll give you further details when you RSVP.
