September 21, 2019 –
Join us at Fairmount Temple for both our Selichot evening program and worship on Sep. 21 at 7 pm and a special family concert during Religious School on Sep. 22 at 11:30 am. This is an encore visit for Alan, who recently brought inspiring and soul-stirring songs to the Fairmount Temple as our guest during Memorial Day weekend.
Our Rabbi Robert Nosanchuk and his family have come to know Alan well as participants in the URJ (Union for Reform Judaism) summer camps, where both Alan and Berger/Nosanchuk family have drawn such powerful meaning. “Having the chance to hear our congregation sing Alan’s powerful melodies and settings and to learn from his open heart this past May is something I will never forget,” says Rabbi Nosanchuk. “Our entire clergy team was captivated by Alan, especially as he has risen to such a strong presence in the Reform Jewish movement. This Selichot, we know temple members will be moved by his songs and collaboration with us to inspire healing, renewal, and hope, as the Jewish New Year begins.”
