Fairmount Young Professionals

Who We Are

Fairmount Young Professionals (FYP) is Anshe Chesed Fairmount Temple’s vibrant, warm, and welcoming group of young professionals in their twenties and thirties. From monthly Shabbat dinners, to holiday celebrations, social gatherings, and volunteer opportunities, FYP has something for everyone! Temple membership is not required to participate.

Our Mission

As part of Anshe Chesed Fairmount Temple, Fairmount Young Professionals connects Jewish young professionals in the Greater Cleveland area through Shabbat celebrations, Jewish holidays, and service projects.

Our Vision

Fairmount Young Professionals provides an opportunity for singles and couples in their twenties and thirties to meet new friends and celebrate Judaism together. Check them out on Facebook or contact them directly via email at fairmountyp@gmail.com. This active and vibrant group meet frequently for dinner after Shabbat, special holiday programming, and social activities.

What We Do

  • Annual Jew Year’s Eve – Every year on the second night of Rosh Hashanah, FYP holds an outdoor celebration of the Jewish New Year by providing a fun relaxed service, food and libations.
  • Annual Breaking Bread – Every year on the last night of Passover, FYP load up on carbs. In years past, they have gathered at restaurants in Little Italy to “break bread” after the holiday.
  • Shabbat Services and Shabbat Dinner – FYP gets together every other month to celebrate Shabbat with services and dinner afterwards.
  • Honoring Veterans for Social Action – FYP helps place flags on veterans’ graves before Memorial Day with the greater ACFT community.
