“In 2020, Jews across Ohio had to combat two out-of-control viruses – the coronavirus and the virus of hate. Despite coronavirus pandemic restrictions, antisemites still found ways to express their anti-Jewish hate. This problem is not going to disappear unless we act now to curb anti-Jewish hate in Ohio and across the nation.” – James Pasch, Regional Director, ADL
At our Friday, Feb. 3, 6:15 pm Shabbat Evening Service, we will welcome temple member James Pasch, Regional Director of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), to be our guest speaker and help empower our community in combatting antisemitism.
In the last five years, Ohio has seen a 92% increase in incidents of antisemitism. People are reporting more antisemitic behavior at their workplace, within schools and colleges, and in other parts of their lives. Frustration, fear, anxiety and stress have all increased and people are asking themselves what they can do to better understand the problem and how they can help to address it.
We welcome you! Services are offered both in person and virtually here.
