Selichot

September 17, 2022
7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Our special Selichot service will be in person and live streamed here.

This year, we will begin our Selichot service with a Havdalah ceremony outside separating from the time of Shabbat, and entering the sacred time of the High Holidays. We will then process, accompanied musically, to our Brickner Auditorium, where our Selichot service will continue with music, teachings from our clergy, and the changing of our beautiful torah covers. We will then conclude the service in our Mandel Sanctuary where we will place the torahs back into the ark, and where we will all have an opportunity to share prayers and hopes for the year. We will end the service with the singing of Avinu Malkeinu (a central musical theme of the High Holidays), and the sounding of the shofar. This will be a service of joy and love, for which we will be using the special Mishkan HaLev (Sanctuary of the Heart) prayer books. We hope you can join us for this distinctive service in any way that you can, either in person or live streaming (please note this is a special website just for Selichot.
