A
synagogue for all. A synagogue for you?
Join us in Opening the Doors of Jewish Life Together.
Here's your invitation to Shabbat
services, B'nai Mitzvah, blessings and celebrations, to High Holy Days,
Festivals and Torah Study; to our Religious School, Pre-School, Family
Education, Family and Adult Learning Programs; to our Sisterhood,
Brotherhood and Senior Adults; to our Young People's Congregation and
Young Adult Chavurah,
the Chevrei Tikva Chavurah, college students, and youth groups; to the life of our joyous Temple
family.
Our doors to Jewish life are open to all: to those who want to pause
and meditate, to those who want to worship and study, to those seeking
comfort, to those celebrating the cycles of life, to those who want to
learn more about their Jewish identity, to those who want to become part
of our community.
Our purpose is
to join voices, hearts and hands together, as one family in spirit and
in friendship, in prayer and in celebration, in the practice of our
Jewish tradition, in acts of social conscience and loving kindness, in
service to God.
Over a century and a half ago, our
founders chose a name which reflected an ideal: Anshe Chesed,
"people of loving kindness". Our Hebrew name continually
challenges and guides us to instill Jewish values which foster Mitzvot
and Tikkun Olam, efforts to "heal the world."

"We
seek to reach every individual in our community, and give voice to
each Jewish soul. We promote Jewish learning
and experience as an essential source for Jewish expression. We
strive to be a spiritual community of substance."
Rabbi Joshua L. Caruso |

"We are a place where spirituality is nurtured and Judaism is made
real; where religious growth happens and prayer, learning and social
action matter. We strive to answer Isaiah's prophetic call Atem
Edai, 'you are my witness.' "
Rabbi Arturo L. Kalfus |

"Our song reaches where words cannot. A blessing is chanted, and it
draws us in. It stirs memory and thoughts of loved ones, connecting
us with our Jewish tradition in all its wisdom and beauty."
Cantor Sarah J. Sager |
