FASTY: Fifth and Sixth grade Temple Youth
FASTY is Fairmount Temple’s 5th and 6th grade junior youth group. Advised by Sharon Drozen and overseen by Assistant Director of the RS, Staci Cohen, FASTY has fun and interactive programs for our 5th and 6th grade students to help build a stronger Jewish community outside of the synagogue walls. SEFTY: Seventh and Eighth grade Temple Youth
SEFTY is Fairmount Temple’s 7th and 8th grade junior youth group. Advised by Sharon Drozen and overseen by Assistant Director of the RS, Staci Cohen, SEFTY has engaging, fun, and educational programs for our 7th and 8th grade students. Our hope is to help SEFTY members love youth group and to see the benefits from the Jewish community they have formed. SEFTY programs are often a part of CLEFTY programs to help the Middle Schoolers see what High School youth group is all about. ACTY: Anshe Chesed Temple Youth
ACTY is Fairmount Temple’s Youth Group for students in grades 9-12. ACTY consists of an elected board of students in the following positions: President, Programming VP, Social Action VP, Religious and Cultural VP, Membership VP, Communications VP, and Treasurer. These students meet once a month to plan programs and services for the teens at Fairmount Temple. Programs range from strictly social to social action, High Holy Day Services, shul ins, etc. This youth group is advised by Staci Cohen, Assistant Director of the RS. ACTY typically has one program a month but also joins in with other local Reform synagogues for programming as well as community wide Jewish programming for teens.
