Lt. Governor of Ohio Lee Fisher
Where Do We Go From Here?
Sunday, June 7, 7 p.m.
Ohio’s
Lt. Governor will be at Fairmount Temple on Sunday, June 7, for an open
discussion on Where Do We Go From Here? Lt. Governor Lee Fisher’s
career has spanned the private, public, and nonprofit sectors. In
addition to serving as Governor Ted Strickland’s Lieutenant Governor,
Fisher is the Director of the Ohio Department of Development, and leads
the state’s efforts to retain, attract, and create jobs and grow Ohio’s
economy. Fairmount Temple is pleased to welcome Lt. Governor Fisher to
our synagogue and invites everyone to come hear him speak about the
state of Ohio. The Forum will be followed by a reception. Free
and open to the entire community.
Saturday, June 13 - A Doo Wop Sock Hop
The Brotherhood is hosting an old-fashioned, fun Sock Hop with Elvis!
Relive the 50's and 60's with the music, food, fun, surprises, prizes and
dancing! More details to come, but plan a summer night at a Sock Hop!

Men of all generations are invited to be become active members of the
Fairmount Temple Brotherhood. This group of men fill many important roles
within the congregation through a variety of
social, religious, cultural and educational activities. They sponsor the Sunday
Morning Forum series featuring an array of distinguished speakers; special events, and social functions.
During Chanukah, the Brotherhood distributes menorahs to first graders in
the Religious School and during Pesach they host a
popular Interfaith Seder which allows members of other faiths to learn more
about the meaning of Pesach.
Through its
affiliation with the Jewish Chautauqua Society,
the educational arm of the
National Federation of Temple Brotherhoods, the Fairmount Temple Brotherhood
supports interfaith understanding and education on college campuses. The
Brotherhood Mitzvah Corps holds monthly social programs with entertainment and
refreshments for the residents at
the Montefiore Home. The membership also supports Fairmount Temple and other
Constituent groups in their many special programs.
