Photos from June 19 Shabbat
Service at Euclid Avenue Temple
On Friday, June 19, more than 300 members of Fairmount Temple celebrated a
special Shabbat Service at the former synagogue,
Euclid Avenue Temple. The evening began with a Shabbat Dinner at Fairmount
Temple, then everyone boarded buses for the
8 p.m. service on Euclid Avenue. This was an opportunity to celebrate Shabbat
at Fairmount Temple’s former home at a time
when Euclid Avenue is experiencing a rebirth. When the buses pulled into the
former synagogue (now Liberty Hill Baptist Church),
they were greeted by other Fairmount Temple members who drove directly there.
Rabbi Arturo Kalfus, Rabbi Joshua Caruso
and Cantor Sarah Sager led a beautiful service with music from David Gooding and
the Fairmount Temple Choir.
