Access to Judaic Library Resources in Cleveland

The Aaron Garber Library is the library of Siegal College of Judaic Studies. The
library's electronic catalog is part of EuclidPLUS, the online library system
managed by Case Western Reserve University, and is included in OhioLINK, the
statewide electronic academic catalog system. Online borrowing privileges are
reserved for students registered at Siegal College. Community members are
welcome to browse the catalog, visit the Garber Library, and borrow materials.

The Arthur J. Lelyveld Center for Jewish Learning is the
library of Anshe Chesed Fairmount Temple. One of the largest synagogue
libraries in the country, it has 15,000 books, a growing collection of
audiovisual materials and subscriptions to more than 60 periodicals. The Library
is open to congregants and the community at large free of charge and is staffed
five days a week during the school year and two days a week in the summer.

The Cleveland Jewish Archives (CJA) at the Western Reserve Historical Society
collects and makes available for research print and non-print material that
documents the history of the Jewish community of Greater Cleveland. The CJA
houses over two hundred manuscript collections consisting of personal papers of
individuals and families, Holocaust testimonies, and institutional records
including those of businesses, congregations, and educational, political,
social, charitable, and welfare organizations.
Materials include items such as minutes, letters, ledgers, photographs, tapes
and films, books, and newspapers. Western Reserve Historical Society’s website

The Ratner Media and Technology Center (RMC) of the Jewish Education Center of
Cleveland (JECC) is a curriculum library that supports Jewish education in
Cleveland. Its collection includes curriculum, pedagogy, methodology, reference
materials, Judaic children’s literature, computer software, videos, DVD’s, and
audio CD’s. The library is open Mondays – Fridays during business hours and its
staff is available for in-person, telephone, and email consultations. The public
is invited to use it. The JECC’s website is
