Holiday Happenings for Preschoolers

Holiday Happening: Introducing Young Children to Jewish Holidays, Sunday, Feb. 4, 9 a.m.
Children PreK and under are invited to join with their parents or grandparents in this special monthly program just for them. Holiday Happenings will introduce young children to the Jewish holidays and values while their parents (and grandparents) can exchange talk and ideas about parenting. Each month will focus on a different holiday or topic through story, craft and a snack.
The theme for Feb. 4 is Purim. Come join us!!

Wednesday Morning Torah Study
February 7, 2018 –
Time: 7:30 – 8:30 a.m. every Wednesday
This is an opportunity to learn with colleagues and friends on Wednesday mornings. Come as often as your schedule permits. The rabbis lead this weekly series, which is open to all – stop in before work, before your morning walk, or after the kids have gotten on the school bus! Kabbalat Shabbat Service, Cantor Sager will speak
February 9, 2018 –
Cantor Sager will speak on The Jew as Other: Personal Reflections on Visits to Uncomfortable Places. Service is followed by a hearty oneg. This service includes contemporary music, a live band, a projected prayer book, and teachings offered in a spirited, informal environment. Often Kabbalat Shabbat worship serves as a setting for guest artists, teachers and activists to join our clergy in leading and inspiring us.

Shabbat Morning Torah Study

Engage the text of the weekly Torah portion, led by Diane Lavin. Hebrew knowledge not required. Each Shabbat gathering is a stand-alone session. Come once or come often! Books provided, or bring your own favorite translation to compare with others.
